Chicago Tribune spotlights Stan Ruby in coverage of anti-ABM press conference
The campaign against anti-ballistic missiles in which Stan Ruby was leading participant had been underway for more than a year when this press conference was held to focus attention on the upcoming Senate vote to authorize Safeguard, a new ABM system.

What happened to the Senate authorization for the weapons system? It passed by one vote when Sen. Margaret Chase Smith switched her vote at the last minute.
