Rosa Ringel's wedding was also at the Whitechapel registry office
The details of Rosa Ringel's 1908 London marriage, provided in a certificate obtained from the UK General Registry Office, are consistent with Betty Ringel's 1911 London marriage in key respects, with a few interesting differences.
Rosa and her husband Meier Weistock established residence at separate addresses in the Whitechapel area before the marriage, whereas Berry and Pincus stayed at the same address.
Their nuptials took place in the same Whitechapel office without religious rites.
The witness names on the 1908 certificate do not match the associated names in the parish record book, so the evidence of a double marriage is not as clear as in the latter marriage, where those two listings matched.
As we have seen these certificates give the name and occupation of the father of the bride and groom. Rosa's father is given as Hirsch Ringel and his occupation is "fowl dealer." Remember that we found Hirsch's brother Schija Ringel identified as a "fishmonter" on the 1911 certificate.
Rosa's own occupation is listed as "mantle maker," presumably a seamstress for overcoats, which might be interesting considering Hermann Ringel's future business focus.
