G. Shirane
Gen Shirane was a Japanese-American experimental solid-state physicist who made important contributions in neutron spectroscopy. He was at Brookhaven in the mid-1950s before joining Westinghouse Research Labs in 1957, where he was a collaborator with Stan Ruby on early Mössbauer work.
